At 2:13 p.m. Monday, Grayslake police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Atkinson Avenue and Washington Street that left one driver dead and another injured.

According to Grayslake PD, a black Volkswagen was heading east on Washington Street when it struck a blue Toyota, which was attempting to turn southbound onto Atkinson Road.
