Tyler, the Creator will release his seventh studio album, Chromakopia, Oct. 28. Following his Grammy-winning success of Igor and Call Me If You Get Lost, this self-written and produced album marks a return to titling his works after his real name, Tyler Okonma.
Chromakopia will be the first album released since Okonma’s 2021 album titled Call Me If You Get Lost. Every year since 2011, Tyler has released an album every two years. When fans were expecting a new album back in 2023, Okonma released the deluxe version of his 2021 Call Me If You Get Lost release. But this streak was officially broken last week with this unexpected surprise announcement for this new project
This album rollout began with a teaser for a new single titled St. Chroma, which is accompanied by the ominous music video announcing the album title, Chromakopia with exciting yet intense visuals of a green storage container exploding, marking the anticipation of this new album.
The album is followed by the lead single Noid, which dropped on Oct. 21, alongside a cinematic music video directed by Okonma himself, with visuals that remind you of an episode straight from The Twilight Zone. This lead single dives straight into themes of paranoia presented in achieving fame within celebrity culture.
With lyrics like “Triple checking if I lock the door” and “I know every creak that’s in the floor” found within the lyrics of Noid, Okonma defines a sense of uneasiness with the consequences of the rise of fame within the music industry.
Be on the lookout for green semi-trucks traveling across the United States with the same green storage container featured in the first teaser video for this new exciting album release. Okonma is going straight into promoting this album rollout with an already announced world tour set for next year with special guests Lil Yachty and Paris Texas. This tour will travel around North America, Europe, and Oceania, catapulting Okonma into one of his biggest tours to date.

This two-day event will include not only Tyler performing new tracks off this new album, but a whole new stage experience that the mind of this one-of-a-kind artist has in store. From past concert staging designs like performing on a moving yacht on stage at Lollapalooza in 2021 to last year’s automobile recycling graveyard theme at Camp Flog Gnaw, what staging will Tyler present with this new era of Chomakopia?
